For most of us, laptops are not portable replacement devices for home desktops, but are the primary devices we use on a daily basis. Without our computers, many people would have a very different life and very different lifestyles. We are constantly downloading video games, favorite pictures and many applications that require more memory. When they slow down, it may be particularly frustrating and we need immediate repair.
Slow down of laptop typically causes insufficient memory (RAM). If you increase the amount of memory in your laptop, it will probably improve faster growth and performance. But for some of us, the idea is to nestle inside our laptop to upgrade ourselves, more than a little scary. So here is a simple guide that will help you in the process. Do it once and you will be a professional.
first Check the owner's manual. It tells you what type of memory your computer needs and how much space it takes to expand memory. It's good to know how many memory cards are already in your laptop and how many slots there are. To check how much memory you have already installed, you can open your laptop and view or run free downloads available on the Internet to run your computer.
2nd If you open your computer and find an empty memory slot, you are lucky! Just go to the store and get a memory card that fits into the slot and if so, it's ready. Be careful not to exceed the memory limits.
3rd However, if either slot on either computer is full, you must remove one of the cards to complete the update. You probably want to make a little less memory, so you have to buy less for the upgrade. You have to do math again in order not to exceed the memory limit. And keep in mind that 1GB – 1024MB, not 1000MB as one would assume.
4th Do not forget if you're not really sure you're picking up someone who's a bit more technical to try to change. Next time, you will know exactly what to do and become more secure in your abilities.
